Scriptures to read before Sunday....
Isaiah 40:1-11 (sermon verses) Prepare the Way of the Lord! Our sin blocks the path between us and Jesus. Prepare the way for the Lord! Have a heart of deep repentance!
2 Peter 3:8-14 Prepare the Way of the Lord! The Lord is patient with us and instead of testing his patience we should live godly and holy lives. Why? So we can look forward to a new heaven and a new earth.
Mark 1:1-8 Prepare the Way of the Lord! John the Baptist had a message for all people, “Repent and be Baptized!” This was to lead the way for someone even better to come after John, it was Jesus.
