On your face with dust and ashes...
that doesn't sound like a great place to be does it?
Who likes admitting when they're wrong? Not many of us...
But when we do that connected with a forgiving God... it is the BEST possible course of action.
A powerful verse is, "The one who trusts in Christ is never put to shame", and Job found all of that out one time when he repented and was never sorry when he did so!

Christian endurance has a lot to do with knowing you have a redeemer that lives!
A redeemer is someone who rescues you from an impossible situation.
Think about all the impossible situations we encounter that we need a redeemer for!
Let's look at Job 19:25-27 and find peace that our redeemer lives!

This Sunday's Service Theme - Through the Word, the Triune God Blesses Us!
Scriptures to read along with this message....
Numbers 6:22-27 As the Israelites marched through the barren desert, they would be blessed whenever the name of the LORD was placed upon them. We use the Aaronic blessing in many of our worship services today as well.
Romans 5:1-5 Look at what the Holy Trinity gives as he pours out his love into our hearts! Peace. Access by faith into God's grace. Hopeful rejoicing, even during sufferings. What gifts!
John 16:12-15 The night before he died, Jesus talked about the work of the Trinity. The Spirit of truth would make known what the Father had sent the Son to do!
Matthew 6:25-33 (sermon verses) Through the Word, the Triune God Blesses Us! We seek first Christ's kingdom and righteousness. And then, we are able to enjoy all other blessings as they come and go in our lives, with contentment.

When the sun comes up each and every day, who decided to do that?
Did you make sure that would happen? Did someone you trust make sure that would happen?
Not someone on this earth but God...someone we can always trust!
God controls the moon, the stars, the sun, and all things! We can count on him to do so many things for us! Some things we don't even think about!
Let's look at Psalm 104 and use those verses to thank God today for what he does for you!

Easter means we can have UNITY and that is a precious, special gift!
If you look into our world today it's not hard to find all kinds of reason why unity really is laking. Politics abroad, politics within our own country, individual opinions, impatience...it's easy to find division!
That's what makes unity so special. It's not something that happens automatically, it's something we have to work at.
But...WE CAN HAVE UNITY!
